How Can We Help?
When will Christmas items be delivered?
This year, 2024, any orders containing Christmas items will be delivered on Tueday 17th December.
This is to avoid any potential delay due to heavy Christmas parcel volume which could result in the meat spending too long in transit and spoiling.
We would recommend freezing all items upon receipt, then defrosting overnight in the fridge the day before you plaan to use them. See the article below for detailed information on safe freezing and defrosting of meat items.
Are you not selling Turkeys or Geese this year?
We have taken the decision not to sell Turkeys or other poultry at Christmas any more.
We have had various issues over the last few years with both supply (Turkeys not being supplied to us on time or at correct weights etc) and delivery (as delivery has to be just before Christmas the network is typically overloaded and we’ve had several turkeys not arrive). These situations were very stressful for ourselves and customers alike, and we’d rather not repeat them!
We’d recommend ordering locally from somewhere that you can go and collect your turkey rather than relying on Christmas delivery.
Are all items available for Christmas delivery?
No, unfortunately, many normal items will not be available for delivery Christmas week.
We will definitely NOT have the following available for Christmas delivery:
- Any offal of any kind
- Any odd cuts or nose to tail
- Lard, dripping or other animal fats
- Whole or half lambs, half pigs or bulk beef boxes
We also can’t guarantee the availability of many other items so far in advance.
If you would like any other cuts aside from Christmas items, we would recommend placing two separate orders. All products can be frozen for up to 6 months.
What if I want some items earlier?
If you’d like some items before Christmas, please place two separate orders.
One order with the Christmas items in it for delivery on 17th December, and another with the non-Christmas items, for which you can choose the delivery date at the checkout as normal.
Thanks for reading, have a great Christmas!
