Worth Waiting For
This isn’t your average supermarket bacon. Every pack starts with pigs that have spent their whole lives roaming freely across our Lancashire pastures, foraging naturally and living as nature intended. While 98% of UK pigs are raised indoors, ours are genuinely pasture-raised — and that makes all the difference to the flavour.
Cured the Slow, Honest Way
Once we’re ready to cure, we do things properly. Our back bacon is hand-cured for two full weeks using just three ingredients: organic sea salt, organic raw cane sugar, and organic blackstrap molasses. No nitrates. No nitrites. No artificial preservatives of any kind. After curing, it’s hung for a further 10 days to develop that deep, concentrated flavour that keeps our customers coming back.
You might notice it’s not the bright pink you’d see on a supermarket shelf — that’s a good sign, not a bad one. Real bacon, cured without chemical shortcuts, has a more natural appearance. One taste and you’ll understand why.
