When do you restock the website?

Generally speaking, most items restock on a weekly basis.

The vast majority of products restock early on Thursday morning for deliveries the following week.

This is predicted stock of items that we will almost certainly have available by the time the dispatch of your order is due.

A few, less predictable items, we wait to restock until we have confirmation, which is usually by mid afternoon on a Friday.

The best times to check the website to find most items in stock is between Thursday morning and Friday evening. This is for orders to be delivered Tuesday to Saturday the following week.

Please note, that due to 99% of items being sent fresh, we can’t hold stock.

If you choose a delivery date further into the future, by the time your delivery is due, we may no longer have the same products available.

Special note – Offal

Offal is particularly problematic when it comes to managing stock as it needs to be sent out extremely fresh, ideally the same day it comes back from the abattoir.

Unfortunately, the abattoir is not very reliable when it comes to delivering the offal back to us with the rest of the animal. Despite us regularly complaining and reminding them, they still only return all of the offal around 50% of the time (most farms nowadays don’t request the offal back and it just goes straight for petfood).

As a result, on a Thursday morning we add the stock that we should receive the following week. I.e. if 6 lambs are going in for slaughter, we should get 6 lamb livers back. This means you can place your order in advance, we can prepare all the items, then when the livers arrive we can add them to your order, as fresh as possible.

Unfortunately, this means that in the cases where the livers don’t arrive as expected, we have to refund and send your order without.

(We can’t wait until the livers actually arrive to put them in stock, as by the time they had been sold, and we’d had chance to process the order, get it packed, collected by the courier and delivered, the offal would no longer be fresh).
