These two herbs both love the sun, thriving in hot and dry conditions, making them a staple of many different mediterranean cuisines, from Spain and Italy, to North Africa and the Middle East.
Though originally chosen for the delicious aroma and flavour, these herbs have been found to have antimicrobial properties and very high concentrations or phytochemicals, so actually add nutrition as well as zing!
